Terpenes contribute to aroma in cannabis and many other plants. An aroma description is different from evidence that a cannabis product produces a specific psychological or medical effect.
Names describe only part of a mixture
Cannabis contains many compounds. A label highlighting one terpene does not describe the whole product or establish how someone will respond.
Avoid effect shortcuts
Limonene should not be presented as a promise of energy, pinene as a promise of focus, or linalool as a guarantee of calm. The earlier effect-based descriptions have been removed.
Read the batch report
Review the measured results, units and reporting limits. A strong smell is not a substitute for laboratory measurement, and a larger terpene number is not automatically better.
