Who can buy
Adults 21 and over with a valid government-issued ID can purchase from state-licensed retailers like Grams. Medical patients have separate rules and higher possession limits.

Where you can consume
Generally, wherever tobacco smoking is allowed — but not in cars, on federal property, or in most workplaces. Public consumption near schools and playgrounds is not permitted.
Driving
Driving under the influence of cannabis is illegal in New York, same as alcohol. Store products in the trunk or a sealed container.
