Licensing and laboratory testing serve different purposes. A license identifies an authorized business; a COA records findings for a tested sample. Neither is a guarantee that cannabis is harmless.
Testing requirements vary by product
New York specifies testing requirements and limits by product category. Read the actual report rather than assuming that every product has identical tests or that a passing result means zero contaminants.
Labels and reports work together
The batch identifier connects a package with its report. Potency and other measurements describe the sample and should not be treated as medical claims.
Avoid sweeping claims
A license alone does not prove a product’s freshness, predict a person’s experience or establish an employer’s pay and benefits policies. Those questions require separate evidence.
