Not all vape carts are equal. Here's the difference between distillate, live resin, and rosin carts — and how to tell what you're actually buying.

Distillate

Highly refined THC oil, often 85%+ potency, usually with botanical terpenes added back for flavor. Cheapest per gram, but flavor is generic.

Live resin

Made from flash-frozen fresh plant material, preserving the full terpene profile of the strain. Richer flavor, more nuanced effects, higher price.

Live rosin

Solventless — made using only heat and pressure. The gold standard for flavor and cleanliness. Rare and expensive.
